‘Boxing Philosophy’ Makes a Comeback!

Following a two-year reprieve from being bombarded with random musings about the world of boxing, prepare to be “in-boxed” once more by your favourite source of all things fight-related.

After a year back in the UK buried in books, and another eighteen months or so in China buried behind the Great Fire Wall, I’ve finally gotten around to writing down some of my ponderings on The Fight Game once more (and investing in a connection which will allow me to, erm, “hop” the Wall).

During my two-year hiatus, some things have changed, but a lot has stayed the same: The Mayweather-Pacquiao fight, for example, still seems as far away as ever (but less people care now); the Chinese still do not know what an orderly line looks like; yours truly is still sporting a hard-earned beer-belly; and potato smiley faces are still the greatest culinary invention this side of sliced bread.

All joking aside, I’m looking forward to penning some serious material on my favourite fighters and present issues surrounding the world of boxing. I am now the proud owner of my very own domain name, “boxingphilosophy.com” (beware: imposters exist – and I’m on to you), and the site has been updated with a snazzy new format. In the interests of keeping up with 21st Century technology, mutli-media and the democratic power of the internet, you can also now ‘subscribe’, ‘connect’, ‘rate’, ‘like’, ‘dislike’, ‘comment’ and ‘enter polls’ on my blog, to suit your individual techo-needs (I’m still rollin’ with an old-skool Nokia, but whatever floats your boat) .

If you are also a fight fan, please get involved in some of the discussions and forward a link to any friends who share an interest in the sport. I welcome honest and constructive feedback, so please get in touch with your own thoughts. I’ll also be more than happy to post writing from anyone who would like to contribute seriously to the site with their own articles and opinions.  And, as I recognize that not everyone shares quite my level of enthusiasm for the sport, if you happen to be getting annoyed by receiving updates, just let me know and I promise I won’t be offended.
